Age exemption application

For players playing up an age group, please contact the Competitions team via email after registering your child so we can issue a ‘restriction exemption’ in PlayHQ. Players playing up do so at their own risk.

For players wanting to play in a lower age group than their date of birth, please refer to the guidelines below.

GUIDELINES PER AGE GROUP

• An online exemption must be submitted prior to registering your child to a team.
• Only valid for one season.

U8 and U10 competition – We require a letter from your school noting your child is in a different school cohort to their date of birth.

U12, U14 and U16 competition – Your child’s date of birth can be no greater than 2 months from the age group cut offs outlined on our website.

U18 competition:

• The player must not turn 18 years of age by the start of the season.
• The player must be attending a secondary school during the season.
• Any penalties/suspensions imposed will be doubled.
• Repeated offenses not conducive to a junior competition setting may see the player removed from the competition.
