Ford Aussie Hoops
Aussie Hoops is Basketball Australia’s official introductory program, providing a fun and inclusive Basketball experience for 5-8 year-olds that serves as an introduction to a lifetime of involvement in the game. In addition to promoting healthy and active lifestyles, the program serves as a platform for social development and inclusion – fostering stronger and more vibrant communities and individuals.
Aussie Hoops has been designed to ensure that for each age group, participants are participating in activities and games that are relevant to their physical and mental capabilities, which will increase in competitiveness until participants are ready to transition into local club competitions.

Ford Aussie Hoops Fees
Basketball WA Fee: $12.42
Basketball Australia Fee:
- Current BA Fee (until 31 May 2026): $4.00 + GST + PlayHQ/WSA transaction fees (as applicable)
- Updated BA fee (from 1 June 2026): $5.00 + GST + PlayHQ/WSA transaction fees (as applicable)
Warwick Senators program fees are not prorated for missed sessions earlier in the term.
Fees Update for June 2026:
Effective 1 June 2026 (applicable for Term 3, 2026 registrations and beyond) the Basketball Australia
component of the FAH participant fee will be increased as follows:
- Current BA Fee (until 31 May 2026): $4.00 + GST + PlayHQ/WSA transaction fees (as applicable)
- Updated BA fee (from 1 June 2026): $5.00 + GST + PlayHQ/WSA transaction fees (as applicable)
This increase to the BA FAH participant fee (which has remained unchanged since 2023) has been
endorsed through internal planning processes and reflects the evolving costs associated with program
delivery, national program governance, and ongoing program development and enhancement costs. This
small update ensures the FAH program remains sustainable, continues to support national participation
growth and ensure that BA is able to maintain and enhance service levels to states, territories,
associations and participants.
